My cleaner has a cleaner
There is something about being female and especially a female who is a founder of a Home Organizing business, that makes you feel like you need to be on top of everything…especially your home!
A few years ago Home Steps received this review and I could not have resonated with it more!

So if this also resonates with you, know that you are not alone…sometimes life takes over and my home is not always perfect either. I often joke with my clients that the better their homes look the worse mine looks. After organizing client homes 4 days a week + an admin day, I would much rather jump on my bike instead of cleaning my home over the weekend!
So last November, we hired our 1st cleaner! My “problem” is that cleaning takes me so long because I can’t separate tidying and cleaning, now I just tidy any clutter, keep up with laundry and let our cleaner do the rest.
We have tested scheduling our cleaner bi-weekly as well as monthly and have decided that monthly works best for us, while saving some costs. We also have an office/guest bedroom as well as a full guest bedroom and bathroom that only get used when we have guests. I would also still need to wash any linens used in those areas and to save additional costs I keep those areas clean myself. So if you have been thinking of hiring a cleaner and cost is an issue, just sticking to having those high traffic areas cleaned in your home once a month could be a solution.

The peace of mind that comes from knowing that I can focus more of my time on myself and know that my home will not fall apart if I don’t clean our glass shower stall (Squamish has hard water) myself is 100% worth it!
